How does Railhop for Business work?
You upload your booking report, Railhop checks every journey against how the trains actually ran, and your admin or the traveller claims on each train company's own form. Railhop never submits a claim: a person presses Submit.
The three steps
Upload your booking report
Upload a CSV or Excel export from Trainline Business, your travel agent or your expense tool. Railhop works out the columns; you check its guesses once.
Check every journey
Railhop checks each journey against how the train actually ran and shows the eligible compensation by traveller and by train company, with every deadline. Seeing this is free.
Claim on each train company's form
Your admin claims in one sitting, each form filled in by Railhop's browser extension, or the traveller claims in the Railhop app where the train company requires the passenger to submit. A person always presses Submit.
Three steps. We handle the first two.
Whatever books your travel, Railhop can read its export. You never hand over a login.
Send your report
Upload a CSV or Excel fileDrop in a CSV or Excel export from Trainline Business, your travel agent or your expense tool. Soon you'll also be able to send a scheduled report to your company's own Railhop address and have it imported automatically.
We find every delay
Checked against what ranEach journey is checked against what actually ran. You see eligible compensation by traveller and by train company, with every deadline shown, so nothing expires unnoticed.
Claim in a batch
Or the traveller taps AcceptYour admin works through the claims in one sitting, each form filled in by our browser extension. Where a train company requires the passenger to claim, the traveller gets a notification and taps Accept.
One tap for them.
Every status for you.
Some train companies, like Great Northern and Thameslink, require the passenger to submit the claim. Railhop sends it to their phone with the form already filled in.
- They get a notification about their late train
- They tap Accept, check the filled-in form and submit
- You see it's submitted, with the claim reference
No app? They get an email with a link instead.
Questions companies ask
What can we upload?
Any CSV or Excel export with one row per booking or per journey: Trainline Business's passenger level report, Navan's booking report, a travel agent's report, an expense tool's export, or Railhop's own template. Railhop remembers the columns you confirm.
How are journeys checked?
Against the recorded running of each train in Great Britain, including cancellations, and each train company's own Delay Repay rules and thresholds.
Who submits the claims?
A person, always. Your admin submits on the train company's own form, filled in by Railhop's browser extension, or the traveller submits in the Railhop app or from an emailed link. Railhop never presses Submit.
Why do some claims go to the traveller?
Some train companies, like Great Northern and Thameslink, require the passenger to claim. Railhop sends those claims to the traveller's phone with the form already filled in, and you see when each one is submitted.
Where is the compensation paid?
To your company's bank account, where the train company's form offers it. A few pay only to the card that paid for the ticket, and Railhop tells you which before you claim.
What stops a ticket being claimed twice?
Each ticket is claimed once, in the traveller's name. Refunded, cancelled or clashing bookings are held rather than claimed, and travellers can say they didn't take a train.
