Pricing questions
What is free?
Uploading booking reports, checking every journey against how the trains ran, and seeing your eligible compensation by traveller and by train company, with what closes soon. No payment details are required.
What does claiming cost?
20% of the value claimed, per claim. There is no monthly fee and no minimum, so a month with nothing claimed costs nothing. For example, £600 claimed in a month costs £120. Prices are plus VAT if applicable; Railhop isn't registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged today.
Is the first claim free?
Yes. Your first claim is free: no commission is charged on the first claim your company submits, whichever traveller it is for. It requires a business account with a work email address and a contact telephone number, not a subscription. It applies once per company, identified by its email domain.
When is the fee fixed?
When each claim is submitted, at the rate in force that day. A later change to your rate never alters claims already submitted.
How do we pay?
By card or Direct Debit. Subscribing saves the payment method with Stripe; Railhop never sees or stores card or bank details.
Are there discounts?
Yes, for larger companies, on request. Tell us roughly how much rail travel your company books and we'll reply with a rate.
Who can sign up?
Anyone at the company with a work email address. Free email addresses, such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or iCloud, can't open a business account.
Billing, failed payments and credits when a train company declines a claim are set out in our Terms of Service.
